Clinical Nurse Coord

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coord to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will function as both a clinical expert and a coordinating leader on your unit, supporting a multidisciplinary team in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Clinical Nurse Coord is responsible for coordinating daily patient flow, delegating and overseeing nursing assignments, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based clinical standards, policies, and procedures. You will provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions for diverse patient populations. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals, you will facilitate clear communication, timely interventions, and effective care transitions.

This position plays a key role in mentoring and supporting bedside nurses and patient care staff, fostering a collaborative culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous professional growth consistent with Mission Health’s values. The Clinical Nurse Coord participates in staff education, precepting, and competency validation, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, and regulatory readiness. Responsibilities include monitoring clinical outcomes, assisting with performance metrics, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, and helping to identify and implement process improvements that enhance patient experience and clinical effectiveness.

The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, acute care environment. You should be comfortable using electronic health records and clinical technologies, managing multiple competing demands, and serving as a resource and role model for best practices in nursing care.
