Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Role: Provides leadership and professional nursing care within a specialized neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), ensuring patient comfort and well-being. Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Implements medically prescribed interventions and advocates for patient needs. Qualifications: Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing and current RN licensure, preferably with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Must hold BLS certification and have at least one year of NICU nursing experience. Additional certifications like Neonatal Resuscitation and Advanced Cardiac Life Support are obtained within 30 days of employment. Preferred certifications include specialty certifications and a national certification in the area of expertise. Key Duties: Lead nursing care delivery, assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, supervise staff, and ensure documentation and compliance with medical interventions.
