We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of Hamlin House, helping lead our front-of-house team and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-volume, upscale hospitality environment, takes ownership of service standards, and knows how to motivate and develop a team.

Working closely with the General Manager, culinary team, and other department leaders, the Assistant General Manager will help drive operational excellence, financial performance, and a culture of gracious hospitality.

• Oversee daily front-of-house operations, maintaining a strong presence on the floor and ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and cleanliness.

• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees while supporting hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.

• Partner with the culinary and management teams to ensure seamless coordination between front- and back-of-house operations.

• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate service priorities, menu updates, sales goals, events, and operational changes.

• Build strong guest relationships, address service concerns promptly, and provide attentive service to VIP guests.

• Monitor service standards, sanitation, safety, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

• Review schedules, payroll, time punches, tip sheets, and labor costs to support the financial health of the business.

• Identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement, communicating trends and recommending solutions to senior leadership.

• Help maintain consistent operating procedures and uphold JF Restaurants' standards, culture, and commitment to hospitality.

• At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining restaurant.

• Strong financial acumen and an understanding of labor management, cost controls, and restaurant operations.

• A hands-on, team-oriented leader with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

• The ability to lead with accountability while creating a supportive and service-driven team culture.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.

• Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

• Required food safety and allergen protection certifications, or the ability to obtain them as required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
