Originally opening in 2017, Checker Hall has become a neighborhood staple of Highland Park and we're looking for an experienced bartender to join our team. With a focus on Mediterranean cuisine, a vibrant atmosphere, and craft cocktails our ideal candidate is passionate about the food and beverage industry and knows the prioritization of details, cleanliness, and most importantly hospitality. 

Key Qualifications:
•  Craftsmanship: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Checker Hall’s standards and recipes. Ensure every drink is made with precision and presented beautifully.

• Customer Engagement: Greet guests warmly, engage in conversation, and make personalized recommendations based on their preferences. Create a welcoming and fun atmosphere at the bar.

• Menu Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the cocktail, wine, beer, and food menus. Provide guests with detailed information and recommendations, including food and drink pairings.

• Service Efficiency: Manage multiple orders at once in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate service. Work collaboratively with servers and kitchen staff to maintain a seamless service flow.

• Inventory Management: Monitor bar inventory, including spirits, mixers, garnishes, and glassware. Communicate low stock levels to management and assist with restocking and organizing the bar.

• Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area. Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service laws and policies.

• Problem-Solving: Address any guest complaints or concerns with a positive and solution-oriented approach, escalating issues to management when necessary.
