Quinnipiac University seeks a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking leader to serve as Associate Vice President for Advancement Services. In this high-impact leadership position, you will be responsible for planning and implementing information systems that help achieve fundraising goals and other objectives for the Office of Advancement. Providing leadership to the acquisition, management, analysis and use of information necessary to support the day-to-day and long-term objectives of the department. You will manage the functional areas related to information systems and reporting, database maintenance, gift processing, prospect research and pipeline management, and donor relations.

Responsibilities include serving as the chief data strategist for the Office of Advancement, partnering with staff and university stakeholders to identify data needs, improve data usage, and develop short- and long-term strategies for advancement data systems. Evaluate and implement solutions that improve efficiency, data accessibility, and decision-making, including the automation of manual processes. Provide strategic oversight of all donor, alumni, and advancement data needs in support of university-wide fundraising and engagement efforts. Serve as the primary liaison for advancement data needs across the University and develop standards for data acquisition, entry, coding, maintenance, and security. Develop and implement systems, dashboards, controls, and processes to monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of advancement data.

Education requirements include a bachelor's degree required, with a master's degree preferred. Qualifications include 10+ years of experience in the management of fundraising and alumni support services required that would include management of data/gift processing departments, research and prospect management and information services. Expert knowledge of Ellucian CRM, GiveCampus or a similar fundraising system is required. High level of proficiency with query languages, excellent understanding of database files and structures, and ability to quickly learn new systems and how they interface with one another are also required. Advanced understanding of gift administration, processing and reporting, full knowledge of CASE reporting standards and IRS rules as they apply to charitable giving, proficiency with Excel, and knowledge of AI tools and agents are necessary. Experience using a variety of research tools, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills are also required.
