Medical Surgical Oncology - Travel Registered Nurse- $2000 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Recent Epic experience required.

Required Credentials: - Associate degree or certificate.

Unit Details: - Complex Med/Surg and oncology population with crossover of GI, GU, and general surgical oncology patients. - Required skillset includes PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, post Whipple (24-28 hour postop), and neutropenic precautions. - Patient ratios: Days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-7. Charge nurse rarely takes patients on days but takes an assignment on nights. - Teaching hospital; may require precepting of students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling: - Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. - Every other holiday. - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request.

Floating Requirements: - Float first to units matching skillset. - May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN; 8 miles away) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY; 11 miles away). - 2 HR notice given for cross-campus float. - Mid-shift float within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
