Laboratory Assistant IILaboratory Assistants II are responsible for clinical laboratory duties, including: Phlebotomy—obtaining blood samples by capillary puncture, venipuncture and arterial puncture, processing specimens. Collection and procurement—instructing patients in proper collection of urine and other samples, and preparing samples for reference laboratories. Utilizing Laboratory Information System (LIS)—performing waived tests and moderately complex tests under supervision. Taking orders for tests and clerical functions—patient registration, communication with customer/clients and lab staff.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they're invaluable.
