Creates imaging protocols for cardiovascular CT and MRI examinations; works with nursing to provide care to patients before, during, and after scan acquisition; interprets diagnostic imaging and prepares reports of findings; communicates examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, and families; and develops short term treatment plans for radiology patients. Contributes to ongoing quality efforts through formalized peer review, updating of radiology informatics systems, training resident and fellow physicians, and troubleshooting with technologists during image acquisition. Weekday and weekend on‑call responsibilities and periodic night and weekend hours as needed, with possible rotations at Akron General Hospital. Requirements At minimum, the position requires: an MD or foreign equivalent; three (3) years of training in diagnostic radiology or radiology diagnosis; eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio; completion of a fellowship in Cardiovascular CT and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Cardiothoracic Radiology, or Cardiac Imaging.
