What You'll Do As the Shelter Manager, you'll be the driving force behind daily operations, team development, and program excellence. You'll:
- Lead and inspire a team committed to ending homelessness.
- Oversee program compliance, documentation, and operations with precision and care.
- Build partnerships with community organizations and referral sources.
- Empower clients through advocacy, housing search support, and skill-building.
- Foster a safe, compassionate, and client-centered environment for all.
- Track outcomes, supervise staff, manage schedules, and ensure effective communication across programs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 2-3 years of Individual shelter experience .
- Background: Experience working directly with homeless populations, mental health, and substance use services.
- Leadership: A positive, hands-on leader who motivates through empathy and accountability.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills; proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Other: Valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle; bilingual skills a plus.
