The compensation package includes an hourly rate of $33.00, plus incentives. Pay offers are tailored to a candidate’s education, skills, and experience. Cover Driver Role : Responsible for filling in when regular Line Haul Drivers are unavailable due to vacation or illness. The driver follows the absent driver’s schedule, typically starting around 12:00 AM, focusing solely on driving duties. When not covering, responsibilities include yard jockeying trucks and trailers and performing warehouse tasks, including case handling. Schedule : Monday to Thursday, 4 days a week, guaranteed 40 hours, home daily. Requirements : Class A CDL + Doubles/Triples Endorsement required. Primary Responsibilities Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on the vehicle. Adhere to safe and courteous operation of the delivery vehicle. Complete all required paperwork daily, including DOT logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR). Report to work in compliance with company uniform standards. Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws. Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods. Ensure cargo is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements. Report any incidents to the dispatcher. Maintain vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 1 year of experience. Department of Transportation (DOT) certified. Class A Commercial Driver’s License required. Doubles/Triples Endorsement required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Physical Demands Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping for considerable periods. Additional hours may be required during October, November, and December and other peak periods. Capable of working flexible hours, including overnight, early morning, and/or late evening. May require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56 lbs. This position is deemed a safety‑sensitive position. As such, any person given a conditional offer of employment will be required to pass a drug test.
