The Brook – Dupont, located in Louisville, KY, is an 88-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adults. Website: The Registered Nurse (RN) participates in treatment planning as a member of an interdisciplinary team; provides assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status; administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician; assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations; provide and direct milieu management, and additional tasks as needed. Best candidates for this position will have behavioral health experience, a strong work ethic, and highly consistent timeliness and attendance! Job Duties Demonstrates knowledge of legal implications of nursing practice in performance of duties. Delegates tasks, and verifies completion. Demonstrates full level of awareness of unit milieu, and provides appropriate guidance to staff. Demonstrates ability to establish priorities concerning total unit milieu. Serves as primary channel of communication between shifts, for patient care unit, and between departments during designated scheduled shift. Observes and interprets each patient’s behavior, demonstrating an understanding of psychiatric concepts, diagnoses and developmental stage. Qualifications Graduate of accredited school of nursing (associate’s degree) required. BSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky required. Minimum of one (1) year related experience required. Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred. Current CPR Certification required. Hours: Day Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM (Rotating Weekends Required).
