Job Title:  CNA – Special Education (SPED)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Days | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Approximately 40 Hours Per Week
Weekends: Not Required

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable CNA to support students in a Special Education setting by providing personal care, health and safety support, and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and dressing.

• Assist with lifting, positioning, and transferring students.

• Support students with academic, daily living, and social activities.

• Monitor student health, behavior, and safety.

• Assist with classroom activities, therapies, and school programs.

• Maintain accurate student documentation.

• Promote student independence, dignity, and safety.

• Collaborate with teachers, nurses, therapists, and school staff.

• Follow student care plans, school policies, and safety procedures.

• Attend required training and staff meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification/license in Arizona.

• Ability to assist with feeding, toileting, hygiene, lifting, and transfers.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work patiently with students with varying needs.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Special Education classroom experience.

• Pediatric or school-based healthcare experience.

• Experience working with students with disabilities or developmental needs.

• CPR/First Aid certification.
