RN Telemetry (4S) Full Time Nights Location: Los Angeles, CA, US Salary Range: $53.63 To $85.58 Hourly Shift: Nights (6:45pm - 7:15am) Hours: 12 hrs per shift (12) Type: Full Time (FTE: 0.9) Reporting to the Manager, this RN Telemetry Nurse plans, directs, coordinates, and provides high quality, individualized patient care using components of the nursing process. Responsibilities Provide care for the physical, psycho‑social, and spiritual needs of critically ill patients; conduct initial assessments and ongoing reassessments. Incorporate cultural, ethnic, functional and developmental factors into assessments for patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans using hospital and regulatory standards. Assess patient outcomes, prioritize care, and modify plans as necessary; ensure accurate documentation. Coordinate interdisciplinary care and communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and other disciplines. Ensure patient safety by evaluating the environment, equipment, and patient behavior. Educate patients, families, and staff; provide individualized educational interventions. Provide acute care and respond to emergencies, following established procedures. Follow organizational chain of command for notification of care issues. Identify therapeutic care issues and implement interventions; support end‑of‑life care. Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and respect rights. Determine presence and type of Advance Directive and facilitate decision‑making. Identify risk factors for skin integrity, motor skills, and behavior in adolescent through geriatric populations. Demonstrate leadership skills as Charge Nurse and practice Universal Precautions. Adapt to changing assignments, staffing levels, and environments; complete tasks on time. Qualifications Graduate of an RN Training Program. Minimum one‑year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a union environment. Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation Current California RN license. AHA BLS card. AHA ACLS card. EKG certification. NIHSS Certification. Critical Care Course preferred. Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (within 30 days of hire). Assault Response Competency (ARC) (within 30 days of hire).
