Nurse Practitioner (NP) Primary CarePosition HighlightsSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no weekends or call).Patient Volume: Approximately 18 patients per day, allowing time to build meaningful patient relationships.Enhanced Care Team Model: Work within a collaborative Primary Care team alongside physicians, APPs, and dedicated clinical support staff.Excellent Support Staff: Medical Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Front Desk (PSS), Social Worker, plus physician and APP collaboration.Comprehensive Scope of Practice:New and established patient visitsAcute access and follow-up appointmentsPre- and post-operative careIndividual and shared in-basket managementOffice procedures including Nexplanon insertions, IUD placements, joint injections, incision & drainage (I&D), suturing, and biopsies.Training & Mentorship: New graduates are welcome! They provide direct patient care and have prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician's scope of practice.These providers typically provide care to patients in an internal medicine, family medicine, geriatric or pediatric clinic.Essential Functions of the RoleAssesses the physical and mental condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.Prescribes, recommends, or uses medical drug therapies or other treatments. Performs procedures following approved protocols, focusing on efficacy, safety, and cost.Recommends interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.Formulates and implements comprehensive patient treatment plans based on assessments, evidence-based medicine, and standards of care. Collaborates with physicians and team members when appropriate. Evaluates patient's response to care and its effectiveness.Counsels patients and families on medical processes, illness management, medication, nutrition, and health promotion. Counsels patients about drug regimens and possible side effects or interactions with food supplements, over-the-counter medications, and herbal remedies.Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient's treatment plans and outcomes. Initiates timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope of practice or expertise.Provide consultation level services for conditions/problems related to the Provider's specialty and training.Perform invasive procedures specific to scope of practice and knowledge of the provider as delegated by supervising Physician.May provide care to patients in a team-based model. Focus on acute and chronic illness management and population health.Key Success FactorsKnowledge of information and techniques to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
