Location: NE Portland, OR (Onsite Market Rate Property) Pay Rate: $24.00 $26.00/hour (DOE) Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent hire Schedule: Tuesday Saturday, Full-Time

Position Overview

LHH Recruitment is seeking a customer-focused Leasing Agent to support leasing operations at a market-rate residential property in NE Portland. This role serves as the first point of contact for prospective residents and plays a key role in driving occupancy through exceptional service, strong leasing follow-up, and professional property presentation. This is a contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to a permanent role for the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist prospective residents in person, by phone, and via email
• Conduct professional apartment tours and highlight community features and amenities
• Respond promptly to leasing inquiries, online leads, and walk-ins
• Support the application and screening process in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines
• Prepare and execute lease documentation
• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs and assist with basic unit inspections
• Maintain accurate prospect and resident records in the property management system
• Support marketing efforts to promote available units
• Provide excellent customer service to current residents and collaborate with onsite teams as needed
• Maintain a clean, welcoming leasing office and community appearance

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leasing, property management, or related customer-facing experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced onsite environment
• Familiarity with Fair Housing standards (training preferred)
• Proficiency with basic computer systems; property management software experience is a plus
