COLT MIDSTREAMJob DescriptionTitle: Utility TechnicianReports to: Area SupervisorDepartment: Field OperationsExemption Status: Non-exemptPrimary Area: Albany/Breckenridge, TXReporting Office: Eastland, TXPrimary Focus:Perform all supporting functions on natural gas gathering and compression equipment as directed by the Area Supervisor to optimize throughput. This is a position designed to create a learning platform by direct hands-on training with the help of qualified employees and experts in their field.Key Accountabilities:Performs all job functions within the Safety and Environmental policies of Colt Midstream, LLC and Governmental laws and ordersJob tasks include but not limited to painting, mowing, line walking, cleaning compressor station, wiping oil, sweeping, washing equipment, assisting mechanics, I&E technicians, Communications, Field Operators, and the Corrosion group. This employee will also help with parts inventoryPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; feel and reach with hands and arms; the employee is required to reach with hands and arms above his head as well as stoop and kneel to reach items below his normal reach. Working in all types of weather conditions as neededWork Environment:Works mostly with other employees but does work occasionally without supervisionCan occasionally be subjected to on-call needs 24 hr/day such as emergency situations response and equipment malfunctionsCompany Vehicle will be assigned to the employee, but the vehicle will reside at company offices during non-working hoursOccasional long hours due to tight deadlinesMust be able to remain calm and focused during emergency or high stress situationsFrequently exposed to work near moving mechanical partsWork in high, precarious placesWork near and with various chemicals used for the processing and gathering of Natural GasThe employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibrationThe noise level in the work environment may be above 90 dBA.
