Advance your career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a specialized psychiatric and behavioral health hospital setting. This 26-week contract role is designed for CNAs committed to providing compassionate care and meaningful patient support within a secure clinical environment. Your previous contract experience and focused expertise in mental health, geriatrics, or emergency care will ensure you thrive in this important role.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
• Night Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Overtime may be available as needed

Required Qualifications:

• CNA certification in good standing
• 1-2 years of prior experience in a contract position
• One of the following is required:
  • At least 2 years of direct experience in mental health settings (state hospitals or behavioral health facilities)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in geriatric care (long-term care, nursing homes, or hospice)
  • At least 4 years of experience in urgent care or emergency room environments
• Strong interpersonal, observation, and communication skills
• Comfort working with individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges

Responsibilities:

• Support patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, dressing, and meals
• Observe and document patients behaviors, mood, and safety
• Assist with therapeutic groups and structured programming
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to behavioral health protocols
• Aid admissions, discharges, and patient transfers alongside nursing staff
• Maintain confidentiality, infection control, and patient safety protocols

$1,290 - $1,360/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
