About the Facility – Belcourt Client (The Quentin N. Burdick Memorial HCF) The Quentin N Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility located in Belcourt, North Dakota, is a 27-bed hospital serving a population of approximately 14,550 Native Americans. The QNBMHCF Outpatient provides 24-Hour Emergency Services, Laboratory, Radiology (CAT Scan & Mobile MRI) and 24-Hour Pharmacy Services. Ambulatory services consist of Optometry, Dental, Clinical, Emergency, Podiatry, and Same-Day Clinic. This facility also offers Behavioral Health. Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing staff in the Emergency Department, including hiring, training and scheduling.
• Ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively, while adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Monitor patient flow and staffing levels to optimize the use of resources and minimize wait times.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care provided in the Emergency Department.
• Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and staff productivity.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead performance improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those related to patient safety and infection control.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional development and a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Must have a current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of the District of Columbia. License shall be full and unrestricted.
• Shall have a nationally accredited associate's degree or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years Emergency Nursing experience.
• Previous management or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement methodologies.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must have an active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS and TNCC or CEN certificate.

Working Conditions: The Emergency Nurse Manager will work primarily in a hospital setting, with frequent interaction with patients, families and healthcare professionals. This position may require working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Emergency Nurse Manager may also be required to respond to emergencies and provide on-call support as needed.
