Salary: $108,160 Annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview

A-Line Staffing is seeking an experienced Health Information Management Director to lead the daily operations of a healthcare facility's Medical Records Department. This position is responsible for overseeing medical records staff, ensuring patient records are complete and accurate, maintaining regulatory compliance, and developing policies and procedures that support efficient health information management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Health Information Management professional with leadership experience and a strong understanding of medical records operations, compliance standards, and healthcare documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the daily operations of the Medical Records Department.
  • Supervise and support medical records and clerical staff.
  • Ensure patient medical records are accurately maintained, organized, and securely stored.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain department policies and procedures.
  • Monitor medical record completion and documentation quality.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to facility leadership regarding department operations.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of patient health information.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and other departments to support operational goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Health Information Administrator ( RHIA ) certification through AHIMA OR
  • Registered Health Information Technician ( RHIT ) certification through AHIMA and two (2) years of Medical Records Technician experience OR Four (4) years of experience in medical records, health information management, medical record preparation, classification, or abstracting of medical reports, along with RHIT certification
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) Systems
  • Health Information Management Software
