Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New Jersey, clear and in good standing
• Prior experience providing nursing services in a school or youth-focused setting

• Familiarity with common pediatric conditions, medication administration, and emergency response
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and education professionals
• Ability to manage confidential student health information
• Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative spirit

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff during school hours
• Develop, maintain, and update individual health care plans for students with medical needs
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
• Educate students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and chronic disease management
• Oversee state-mandated screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and health documentation
• Respond promptly to illness, injury, and potential medical emergencies
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, parents, and healthcare providers in coordinated care
• Ensure compliance with all school and state-specific health regulations and policies
