This position works closely with warehouse personnel, service managers, install managers, vendors, and accounting to ensure products are available while maintaining cost efficiency and inventory accuracy.This role requires exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.What You'll DoPurchase materials, equipment, tools, and supplies for multiple departmentsMaintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when appropriateCreate and manage purchase ordersMonitor inventory levels and replenish stock before shortages occurCoordinate deliveries with vendors and warehouse personnelTrack orders and resolve shipping delays or discrepanciesCompare pricing, quality, and lead times across suppliersAssist with inventory audits and cycle countsMaintain accurate purchasing records and documentationWork closely with department managers to forecast purchasing needsIdentify cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing qualityEnsure purchasing complies with company policies and budgetsAssist with warranty claims and vendor returnsSupport special purchasing projects as assignedWhat We're Looking For2+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience preferredExperience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, Manufacturing, or Distribution is a plusStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong negotiation and vendor management skillsHigh attention to detailSelf-motivated with strong follow-throughAbility to analyze pricing and purchasing trendsProficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and purchasing softwareERP or inventory management system experience preferredAbility to work collaboratively across multiple departmentsPreferred QualificationsAssociate 's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (preferred but not required)Purchasing or inventory management certification is a plusKnowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical materials is highly desirableSuccess in This Role Looks LikeMaterials arrive on time with minimal disruptionsInventory shortages are minimizedPurchase orders are accurate and completed promptlyStrong vendor relationships are maintainedCosts are managed responsiblyField technicians and installers have what they need to serve customers successfullyPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and walk throughout the dayOccasionally lift up to 30 poundsAbility to work in both office and warehouse environments as neededWhy You'll Love Working HereAt Peaden, you're more than an employee-you're part of a team that values integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
