High Desert Medical Group is seeking a full-time Clinical Lead to work in our Palmdale clinic at Heritage Health Care. The Lead will be either a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) that will perform patient care within their scope of practice and be responsible for assisting Heritage Health Care Leadership with enforcing policies and procedures.

Summary of Duties:

• Assist with coverage throughout the clinic with providing quality care to HDMG patients.
• Act as a resource to employees to complete assignments and oversee day to day operations.
• Assist HHC leadership to supervise patient care performed by CMAs and LVNs.
• Enforce HDMG/HHC policies and procedures.
• Assist with input on annual evaluations of employee work performance.
• Collaborate with HHC Manager on staff time off requests.
• Assist in the development of the agenda for HHC staff meetings.
• Assume responsibilities for oversight of staff and processes.
• Assist workflow and patient volumes throughout shift and adjust staffing as needed.
• Coach and encourage employees in performance improvement (i.e. accuracy with patient care, documentation, telephone etiquette, professional and caring interaction with patients, physicians, and others.)
• Ensure training and orientation of all new employees as well as updated training for current employees on new equipment, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and instruments.
• Assist in monitoring all medical supplies, medications, and DME ordered in clinical areas.
• Act as a clinical resource for staff and providers.
• Act as a patient advocate and work to resolve patient care concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the PSA Lead to cover day-to-day operations.
• Responsible for ensuring all staff have coverage for breaks and lunches with a focus on minimizing overtime.
• Review reports and follow-up with nursing staff for incomplete tasks.
• Train and cover PSA functions, including but not limited to, insurance verification, scheduling, and answering high call volumes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $26.28 - $43.43/hourly, non-exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Active CMA or LVN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• LVN candidates - current IV/phlebotomy certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
• One year experience in a physician's office or clinic preferred.
• Professional verbal and written proficiency in Spanish is a plus to facilitate immediate, culturally nuanced communication with patients and care teams.
• Prior experience in a client-facing role serving Spanish speaking demographics a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize tasks to meet all given deadlines and productivity goals.
• Ability to responsibly handle matters of a confidential nature.
• Ability to work in a multi-task, high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of insurance plans, both HMO and FFS preferred.
