Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification.
Details
Acute care hospital setting within the MRI Tech unit
Level II Trauma facility experience required, Level I preferred
Patient population includes adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/Trauma
Daily caseload of 10 patients per technologist
4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, with varied start times between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Possible on-call required for holiday coverage
No weekend requirement
May float within scope to meet facility needs
Uses GE and Toshiba scanners along with PACS imaging system
Charting system is Cerner; Epic experience preferred
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience required, or 1 year with 4+ years of total scanning experience
BLS and ARRT (MR) certification required; ARRT (R) also listed
Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred
Experience with GE scanner and IV starts required
Proficient in scanning Head/Neck, Spine, Thorax, Abdomen/Pelvis, Musculoskeletal, and MRA/MRV exams
Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
Experience with specialized imaging including MRCP, CINE, diffusion imaging, MIP, MPR, and surface coils
Active state license required if applicable
Additional Information
Perform MRI scans across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions using advanced imaging techniques
Participate in annual onsite training modules via HealthStream
Magnet-designated acute care facility with 152 staffed beds
Scrubs may be any color or pattern; L&D/OR scrubs provided
Free parking available in the structure near the facility
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates not accepted; minimum 100-mile radius rule applies
Returning staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
COVID vaccination acknowledgment required prior to assignment
