Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating RoomThis position involves providing high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) environment. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing each individual patient upon admission to the OR, addressing various factors including biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs, as well as discharge planning. The nurse will ensure that each patient receives appropriate support from significant others and family members as needed.Full-time position working 5 days a week on a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role requires participation in an on-call rotation, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Typically, an on-call commitment involves being available for one night per week and 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.Conduct immediate assessments of patients upon OR admission, focusing on their biophysical and psychosocial needs.Continuously assess and reassess patients throughout their time in the OR, identifying pertinent needs and problems.Implement nursing interventions based on patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.Develop individualized nursing care plans that address the specific needs of patients in the intraoperative setting.Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the perioperative process.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a main hospital setting.Willingness to adhere to the 50-mile radius travel requirement.The staffing ratio is set at 1:1, ensuring personalized care for each patient in the operating room.Interested candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the Management team.
