Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Setting: Retail HIV/AIDS Specialty Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
Hours: Full-Time
Start: ASAP
Duration: 4–6 weeks, with potential to extend
Position Overview
We are urgently seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide LOA coverage at a specialty pharmacy in Las Vegas. This is a great opportunity for a technician with HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy experience who is looking for a full-time, short-term assignment with the potential to extend.
The pharmacy is a lower-volume environment focused on providing specialized care and support to patients.
Responsibilities
Process prescriptions and perform accurate data entry
Fill and dispense medications
Assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations
Provide a high level of patient care and support
Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the prescription process
Requirements
Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license
HIV/AIDS medication dispensing experience is strongly preferred
Experience with QS1 is preferred
Strong patient communication and customer service skills
Strong communication with healthcare providers
Reliable and committed to being on time and present for scheduled shifts
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a dependable pharmacy technician who is comfortable working with HIV/AIDS patients and specialty medications, provides excellent patient support, and can step into the role quickly with minimal training.
