Position Summary

Star Lanes Polaris is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Bartender to provide exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced entertainment venue. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming atmosphere, prepare quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain a clean and organized bar area, and deliver outstanding guest experiences while supporting the overall success of the venue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests.
• Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all liquor laws and company policies.
• Process food and beverage orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including workstations, glassware, equipment, and storage areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and supplies.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest checks accurately.
• Promote featured beverages, specials, and entertainment offerings to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Previous bartending experience preferred; entertainment or high-volume venue experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage service techniques.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required alcohol service certifications.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
• Work in a lively environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with POS systems.

• Strong sales and upselling abilities.
