Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM with weekday, weekend, and possible holiday call responsibilities (30-minute call response time expected)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate across all cardiovascular and other surgical service lines in a 2-OR setting handling approximately 2–6 cases per day
• Support a wide range of cases including CABGs, Robotic CABG and Lung procedures, Valve surgeries, Fem-POP, TAVRs, EVARs, and vascular cases
• Collaborate with PCAs who assist with room turnover and supply retrieval (e.g., blood products)
• Document patient care using Epic EMR (transitioning to Epic Gold)
• Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation with an expected 30-minute response time
• Maintain compliance with all applicable surgical and patient safety standards; no floating to other departments required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
• BLS certification (required)
• Experience in cardiovascular or operating room nursing
• Ability to circulate across all surgical service lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrubbing experience (not required for RNs but strongly preferred)
• Prior experience with CABG, TAVR, EVAR, or other complex cardiovascular and vascular procedures
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Charge nurse experience in a surgical or OR setting
