As a Patient Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in making each patient feel seen, heard, and supported. Key Responsibilities: Patient Scheduling:Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments, ensuring optimal use of facility resources and timely patient care. Insurance Verification:Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; communicate coverage details to patients as needed. Appointment Management:Monitor the schedule daily to identify cancellations and proactively backfill open slots to maintain efficiency. Patient Communication:Serve as the first point of contact for patients—answering calls, responding to inquiries, and providing clear, empathetic guidance. Data Entry & Record Keeping:Accurately input patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system and maintain up-to-date records. Collaboration:Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination. Customer Service:Provide a warm, welcoming environment for patients and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications: Experience:Minimum 1–2 years in a healthcare or medical office setting, preferably in radiology or imaging services. Knowledge:Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations.
