About the Position

Job Title: RN - Interventional Radiology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care Interventional Radiology experience License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred Description: Travel opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology. The shift is from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call duties are required from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weeknights. Weekend call is also required. The unit has a total of 150 beds and a staff of 5. There are 2 nurses and 2 technicians on day shift. Night shift is on call only. Patient ratios are 1:1. The unit uses Siemens single plane C-arm equipment. The electronic medical record system in place is Meditech. Candidates must have current acute care experience in Interventional Radiology. Good vascular access skills are essential. Experience with PICC line or midline placement is preferred. Typical procedures performed include paracentesis, thoracentesis, LVO, FNA, midline and PICC line placement, kyphoplasty, and PE thrombectomy. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills and a positive attitude. A team-oriented approach to patient care is highly valued.
