Medical Order Specialist

To support a growing healthcare team, the remote Medical Order Specialist will review and process changes to existing patient orders, validate prescriptions, and ensure timely shipment of medical supplies while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation. Key responsibilities Review and process changes to existing patient orders for accuracy and compliance Validate prescription accuracy and verify insurance coverage, submitting authorizations as needed Communicate with patients and internal teams to resolve order issues effectively Required qualifications 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience High school diploma or GED required Home health, DME, or enteral experience preferred Knowledge of insurance authorization processes is a plus
