machine shop foreman/woman (Clairmont)

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience. Experience: 5 years or more. Responsibilities Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Set up machines and equipment. Supervise workers and projects. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Supervise 11-15 people and staff in various areas of responsibility. Coordinate apprentices, machine operators, machinists, machining and tooling inspectors, welders. Handle transportation/travel information; own transportation required. Maintain a dusty, noisy work environment that is fast‑paced, with tight deadlines and work‑under‑pressure conditions. Attention to detail and organized working style. Comply with safety gear requirements, including steel‑toed safety boots. Qualifications Excellent oral communication skills. Highly organized. Experience in the field is required.
