Join Our Team! Clinton Hill Community & Early Childhood Center is on the lookout for a vibrant and enthusiastic Extended Care Program Instructor to join our part-time team! As an Extended Care Program Instructor, you'll play a vital role in our extended‑day program (morning care or aftercare), engaging students in a range of exciting activities while ensuring their safety and well‑being. This position is perfect for individuals who love working with children and can bring creativity, energy, and positivity to the program! Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during extended‑day activities, ensuring a safe and fun environment. Plan and implement various engaging and developmentally appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and educational projects. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff, creating a sense of community. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s day and any concerns. Participate in staff meetings and trainings to continually enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s success. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the extended care space. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in early childhood education preferred. 1–2 years of experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport with children and families. Ability to create and implement engaging activities that captivate young learners. Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing and positive environment. Flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of children and the program. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain). A passionate and fun‑loving spirit that encourages kids to learn and play!
