Delivering quality products on-time, Altek is certified to AS9100D, our operators are certified to IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD, we are ITAR compliant.The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Solderer I At Altek are described below:Performs a wide variety of routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas:• Component prep and placement on PCBs.• Hand solder through-hole components and/or wires to PCBs.• Demonstrate ability to solder while using a magnifying glass.• Performs trim touch up and basic rework on PCBs as a result of inspection criteria and/or feedback.• Wash/Clean PCBs as required.• Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.• Performs routine work within area of specialization.• Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices, or instruction.• Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from manager.• Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S.• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Knowledge and Skill Requirements• Good eyesight and hand coordination• Ability to read & understand assembly prints• Ability to solder using magnification• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervisionEducation and/or Experience• HS diploma or equivalent required.• Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work.• Typically, up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Essential Duties & Responsibilities as presented above.Working RelationshipsContacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in employee's home area.Working ConditionsWork involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds.Altek has a comprehensive benefits package including:Medical Plans with company HSA contributionsDentalVision – employee coverage paid by employerEmployer paid Life up to $50,000Options for additional lifeCritical Illness & Personal Accident plans401k plan with up to 4% company matchAltek Electronics, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
