Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist PRN

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Hospitalist to help meet the growing demand of our hospitalist program at Franciscan Health Michigan City. This is a high performing, well-respected group with a great culture of teamwork.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience with inpatient care and Internal Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills. Provider will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members to ensure delivery of the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Traditional PRN schedule
• Hours: 10am-6pm
• Average inpatient volume: 8 patients per shift
• Call responsibility: responsible for call from the floor and emergency department during shift
• No call responsibility after hours
• Average number of admissions: 5 - 6 per shift
• Central line placement and intubation procedures experience preferred
• Will run codes
• Open ICU
• Respond to Code Blue's
• Part of the Rapid Response Team
• Strong collegial support from specialists

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree Required
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required - or
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
