Residential Aide

CORE Denver's mission is to strengthen communities, families, and individuals in Denver by developing and operating exceptional emergency, transitional, supportive, and affordable housing opportunities using evidence-based theories, practices, and programming. RESIDENTIAL AIDE I -- Emergency Family Shelter Hours of Work = Sunday -- Saturday: day, evening, and/or overnight shift Salary Range = $19.50/hr - $21.50/hr Residential Aides are responsible for the safety and security of the staff, clients, and the building. Residential Aides shall lead emergency protocols, report all incidents to both program and operational leadership, and be the point of contact when the PD and OM are not present at the site. OVERVIEW OF POSITION: •Maintain the security of the facility. •Screen all clients and visitors to the facility. •Educate clients about the program policies and procedures. •Ensure clients abide by program policies and procedures. •Ensure that clients properly sign in and out of the facility in accordance with applicable rules. •De-escalate potential crisis situations and document all situations and interventions. •Conduct rounds (roves) throughout the facility including all hallways, stairwells, floors, bathrooms, and other common areas. •Conduct roves of facility perimeter. •Complete logs, incident reports, and all other required documentation. •Perform administrative duties and receptionist duties at the operations desk. •Assist with room preparation and room turnover for new clients, as required. •Perform other tasks as assigned. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION CRITERIA •100% compliance with uniform requirement •100% compliance with timely reporting of incidents to include data completeness and report accuracy •100% timely roves throughout the facility and building perimeter •100% customer service compliance QUALIFICATIONS: •High School Diploma or GED, required. Lived experience is accepted in place of a diploma or GED. •Bachelor's Degree, preferred. •Prior military and/or public safety experience preferred. •Must be willing to work flexible hours, nights and/or weekends, and overtime, if necessary. •First Aid/CPR certification, preferred.
