Commercial Credit Analyst II

Job Overview Credit Analyst II provides analytical support for commercial banking by independently analyzing creditworthiness of customers and prospects. The position evaluates current credit data, financial statements, and due diligence information to assess risk associated with extending credit or lending money. The analyst prepares reports for decision makers and assists in loan approval processes. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive credit analyses on commercial loans for lending approvals. Analyze commercial credits exceeding $1.5 million in total exposure. Review financial statements, analyze income growth, margins, trends, management quality, market share, industry risks, and collateral appraisals. Prepare credit and cash flow analyses and submit credit approval documents and write-ups. Monitor compliance with loan agreements. Support loan officers and managers through financial statement spreading and analysis of new loan requests and existing relationships. Participate in deal discussion meetings with lending personnel, market managers, and credit officers. Work under supervision of Credit Manager, Director of Credit, or Credit Analyst III. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and training requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications BS/BA Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field. 3‑5 years of work‑related experience or training. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, procedures, regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public. Problem‑solving ability with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with MS Office programs and financial spreading software. Other qualifications: physical requirements as needed.
