LANDSCAPING & MAINTENANCE The Landscape & Maintenance team maintains the grounds of Cal‑Am Resorts and Communities, including laying sod, mowing grass, trimming trees and plants, raking, fertilizing, and handling service requests for repairs and improvements of vacant lots to a market‑ready status. They work as a team participant alongside the maintenance staff to ensure the community meets quality standards set by the Company. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, but occasional weekend work may be required to support property needs or respond to emergencies. Compensation: $19.00 Hourly Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation and Sick, 401K Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Responsibilities Maintain lawns, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other ground features. Mow and edge lawns using power mowers, push mowers, and/or edgers. Care for lawns by laying mulch, removing weeds, and trimming trees and plants. Maintain flower beds by pruning, weeding, and watering as needed. Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges using shears, pruners, or chainsaws. Plant flowers and trees. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees. Maintain ground equipment, including repairs and preventive maintenance as needed. Operate powered lawn equipment such as mowers, weed whackers, electric clippers, and pruning saws. Report any maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, or defects to supervisor. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Prepare or assist in preparing all vacancies to a market‑ready condition. Perform various community maintenance functions and record findings in a maintenance log, such as light bulb changes, caulking, filter changes, touch‑up painting, lock repairs, snow removal, window coverings, pool maintenance, minor HVAC maintenance, preventive maintenance, etc. Move heavy objects as requested. Assist Maintenance Supervisor or Community/Resort Manager on special maintenance projects, e.g., preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals. Assist in keeping the grounds and common areas free of trash and debris. Work closely with management and maintenance staff to represent the quality and professionalism of the Company. Maintain open communication with Resort/Community management. Deliver communications to residents as needed, attend and assist in setting up resident functions and activities. Drive a motorized vehicle on or off Resort/Community for company business. Qualifications Must be able to lift heavy equipment. Must be familiar with the use of maintenance equipment, such as lawn mowers and hedge trimmers. Problem identification and resolution skills. Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. #J-18808-Ljbffr
