The Opportunity The Maintenance Supervisor at ORBIS will assist the Technical Manager in providing leadership and direction to the Maintenance team. The role ensures all equipment is maintained and ready for use by other departments, that the Maintenance team is properly trained and qualified, and will also be assigned special projects when needed. Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors, reporting safety incidents, and enforcing safety‑related policies and procedures. Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance team, including auditing the department for safety issues, managing installations and the set‑up of all new equipment or movement of equipment in the plant, ensuring communication across shifts, overseeing housekeeping, and reviewing the quality and quantity of work completed by Maintenance Technicians. Provide technical assistance to the Maintenance department. Program, write, design, and run diagnostics on ladder logic for wiring or PLC programming. Coordinate work schedules for the Maintenance department, including writing, reviewing, and updating open and completed work orders, updating mold damage reports, charting mold changeovers and press‑down time for continuous improvement, setting up and scheduling all outside trainings, reviewing all mold/insert changes with the Scheduler, and verifying times and configurations. Other duties as assigned. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Safety‑sensitive position—ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Effective communication skills with a wide variety of roles. Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including safe usage, maintenance, and storage. Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of employees, environment, and the workplace.
