As our company continues to grow, we're seeking a dependable and safety-focused Truck Driver to support daily operations by transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites across the Columbia area and surrounding communities.

A Class A or Class B CDL is preferred , but we welcome applications from qualified candidates with strong driving experience and a commitment to safety.

Position Summary

The Truck Driver plays a vital role in ensuring our project teams have the materials and equipment they need to keep projects moving efficiently. This position requires a reliable professional who takes pride in safe driving practices, excellent communication, and outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, tools, and supplies to and from job sites
• Load, secure, and unload materials using proper safety procedures
• Verify deliveries and maintain accurate logs, receipts, and transportation records
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Assist with warehouse operations, inventory management, and material staging as needed
• Support field crews by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and jobsite safety requirements
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent Walker White Mechanical in a positive manner
• Help maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work environment

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license required
• CDL Class A or B preferred
• Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR, background screening, and pre-employment requirements
• Experience operating flatbed trucks, box trucks, trailers, or similar commercial vehicles preferred
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly
• Comfortable working in warehouse, yard, and construction jobsite environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Construction, HVAC, mechanical, or building materials experience is a plus but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
