Position: Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Specialist

Pay: $20 - $22/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM until deliveries and assigned work are completed

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

The Lee Group is looking for a reliable and professional Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Specialist to join one of our valued clients in Virginia Beach, VA.

In this hands-on role, you will drive a 26-foot manual box truck to make pickups and deliveries throughout Virginia and surrounding states while also assisting with warehouse, loading, unloading, and furniture assembly responsibilities. Routes are primarily local and regional, with most trips lasting seven hours or less and very few overnight trips.

Because deliveries include residential addresses and military installations, we are looking for someone who is professional with customers, has an excellent driving record, and can meet access requirements for military installations.

Job Responsibilities of Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Specialist

• Safely operate a 26-foot manual box truck for local and regional pickups and deliveries.

• Make deliveries throughout Virginia and surrounding states, with very few overnight trips.

• Deliver products to residential, commercial, and military locations while providing professional customer service.

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

• Use pallet jacks and forklifts to assist with loading, unloading, and warehouse operations when qualified.

• Handle, move, and properly secure products for transportation.

• Use common hand tools to assemble furniture and other products at delivery locations.

• Assist with general warehouse and logistics responsibilities as needed.

• Maintain an organized, professional, and safety-focused work environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications of Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Specialist

• Current, valid driver's license required.

• Must have a strong driving record with no serious violations, including DUI or reckless driving violations.

• Must be experienced and comfortable driving a manual 26-foot box truck.

• Must be able to meet criminal background requirements necessary to access military installations.

• Must be able to pass a drug screening.

• Must be reliable and maintain consistent attendance.

• Professional appearance and demeanor are required for deliveries inside customers' homes and other locations.

• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members.

• Ability to use common hand tools for furniture assembly and related tasks.

• Pallet jack and forklift experience strongly preferred.

• Previous delivery, transportation, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.

• Military installation delivery experience is highly desirable.

• Current or previous security clearance is a major plus.

• References required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements of Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Specialist

• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, load, unload, and maneuver items weighing 75+ pounds.

• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding delivery and warehouse work throughout the workday.

• Regular standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and furniture assembly are required.

• Must be able to safely enter and exit a box truck throughout the workday.

• Work may be performed in warehouses, residential homes, commercial properties, military installations, and outdoor environments.

• Must be comfortable working until the day's assigned deliveries and responsibilities are completed.

Shift Details

Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:30 AM and working until the day's deliveries and assigned work are completed.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
