Responsibilities Perform all patient MRI imaging procedures and adhere to all patient safety protocols. Serve as the first line interface with customer accounts to accomplish their imaging needs. Per Diems shall be required to work one major holiday and two minor holidays per year and four weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per three‑month period. A weekend is defined as a Saturday or Sunday. Major holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and two additional holidays as needed by the Medical Center. Compensation Salary range: $49.02 – $57.65 per hour. The range complies with New York State law on salary transparency and does not include bonuses, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Factors such as location, specialty, service line, years of experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity may influence determining an individual’s compensation. Qualifications Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Minimum Experience: Two years of MRI experience desirable. Licensed in Radiologic Technology by New York State. ARRT, RT (R)(MR) or ARRT‑RT with completion of ARRT verified MRI training program; documented completion of didactic and clinical competency. Must obtain MRI Registry (ARRT‑MR) within 18 months of hire. NYS DOH injection license preferred, required within 90 days from date of hire. Active and ongoing BLS certification. Physical Requirements Frequently requires standing, walking, using hands to handle, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, creeping; occasionally sitting. Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions Environmental: Works inside, may be exposed to disagreeable odors and infection. Contact with patients, physicians, department employees, and hospital departments such as nursing. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Physical Demands: Demonstrates full anatomical range of motion, visual and aural acuity, finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment, can withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking, and can lift 50 lbs. Mental Demands: Fosters collaborative relationships, works well under pressure, organizes and synthesizes new information, prioritizes tasks, possesses critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility, handles interruptions, demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs.
