HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY MOUNT SINAI MEDICAL CENTER MIAMI BEACH, FL Position Responsibilities Mount Sinai Medical Centers Award Winning Cancer Center is seeking a board eligible/board certified Hematologist Oncologist to join our distinguished team. We provide state-of-the-art treatment for patients with cancer, incorporating the latest research and treatment options to deliver individualized care to patients. Work closely with patients and their families to help them understand their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and the potential side effects of treatment. Lead a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionals Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy Respond to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinics Activelyparticipant in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology by attending Divisional meetings, tumor board, and Department of Medicine Grand Rounds during your administrative time Perform bone marrow biopsies and other procedures as needed. Design and participate in clinical trial research with enrollment of patients into research studies Participate in ongoing multidisciplinary system specific conferences. We carefully monitor each patient during ongoing treatments, and meet weekly with a multidisciplinary team of other doctors to review cases. Our patients have the opportunity to participate in leading cancer trials, allowing them access to promising advanced treatments years before they are FDA approved. Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary oncology care.
