Job Title: Associate Attorney

Location: Freehold, NJ, On-site

Compensation: $100,000–$150,000/year

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

Our client, a full-service law firm, is seeking a Associate Attorney to join its general practice in the Freehold office. The practice includes corporate transactional work, community association law, and collections, with opportunities to work across a variety of legal matters. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills and be comfortable managing multiple matters in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw across multiple practice areas.
\n
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda.
\n
• Assist with case preparation, discovery, evidence organization, and trial preparation.
\n
• Support attorneys with client consultations and provide legal guidance under supervision as needed.
\n
• Assist with negotiations, settlements, and communication between clients and opposing parties.
\n
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
\n
• Assist with legal administrative tasks and stay current on applicable laws and regulations.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; New Jersey Bar admission required or pending.
\n
• 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably in a general practice or related areas.
\n
• Experience or strong interest in areas such as corporate, community association, collections, litigation, estate planning, family law, immigration, or personal injury.
\n
• Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw.
\n
• Excellent legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
\n
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
\n
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
