All that we’re missing is you. About The Role The Technical Training Senior Director will lead the design, planning and implementation of an organization-wide strategic technical training program. A significant component of this role will be to build a comprehensive structured on the job training program that can be effectively and repeatably deployed to departmental leaders and trainers. This position interfaces with senior leaders and cross-functional business process owners and secures resources necessary to create and execute an effective training strategy. They act as a team lead and mentor for training colleagues to help orient, develop and grow talent. They may serve as the sponsor for special/innovative/complex projects. They act as an enterprise leader. Role Responsibilities Provide organizational support for curricula development that is role and activity based. Develop site training capabilities using a train-the-trainer approach. Monitor learning maturity and ensure a continuous improvement for training systems and programs. Responsible for working with enterprise resources to align approach and systems as well as to enable just-in-time or real time instructional training using innovative technologies. Leads a team of colleagues with responsibility for training and knowledge management. Serves as the business process owner for all technical training including technician level qualification related training for operations and maintenance technicians. Maintains training infrastructure that allows for safe and standardized role-based training that is compliant with applicable regulations (e.g., ASME,/QRO State operator certification requirements, and any local licensing requirements.) Develops innovative, immersive, simulative training methodologies enabling accelerated knowledge transfer and transferable skill building Ensures learning objectives are tied to business outcomes with clear measurement criteria and methodologies Works cross-functionally with enterprise level and site training leads that have responsibility for training and ensure consistent application of training methodology, process, systems and tools Develops material and training for plant employees Perform data analysis and gather information for new training; prepare and maintain training materials and coordinate the development of new training materials and training aids. Coordinate training content with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs Actively interfaces with responsible groups in support of regulatory training, reporting, and inspections as needed. Works with the QA team to translate policies and procedures into appropriate training materials Ensures strong connections between subject matter experts and training leads to enable consistent and compliant technical training delivery. Demonstrates expertise in multiple knowledge areas, maintains a wide breadth of knowledge, and stays up to date on current industry trends Creates standard work for the following training: Safety, Environmental, technical and procedural training on equipment, business conditions, regulatory and updated processes/procedures. Manage the GPiLEARN+ Training Program to include the associated Learning Management System (LMS) for the organization to include generating reports, maintaining the system in a compliance-ready state, and managing the annual seat license renewal and invoicing process. Develop, update, and track completion status for on-the-job technical training for all employees or those assuming new positions within the department. Monitor and track the department training activities of the area(s) supported. Maintain close liaison with the area they support as well as all other areas of the plant, to include peers or employees at the other sites. Write, issue and update job aids and other training documents. Assist in the development and facilitation of departmental or site training (through regional technical training specialists) Update/direct the update of curriculum or course materials Provide oversight and support to the Regional Technical Training Specialists to include job performance reviews Develop improved training content and methodology Serve as a training resource in the organization supporting projects and process/equipment implementation. Stay up to date with current training authoring software and delivery technology. Required Qualifications 12+ years of related experience creating technical training and leading a team of technical trainers in a manufacturing environment, particularly focused on operations and maintenance. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science or Education/Development. Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of manufacturing principles and techniques as well as various techniques for training both technical and non-technical subjects. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak in large group settings. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. Incumbent must be able to solve problems using LEAN methodologies to determine the root cause and develop a sound plan to address the problem. This position receives broad instruction periodically, however, the individual has a great deal of latitude in implementing training programs to meet site objectives. Incumbent must also utilize strategic planning skills and a long-range perspective to adequately prepare the organization for future demands and avoidance of potential problem areas. Pay Transparency Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
