This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for supporting AI initiatives, machine learning, data analysis, and data modeling across mission-critical projects. The position requires experience leading complex data science projects within a government or mission-driven environment.Program Overview Blu Omega supports a federal initiative dedicated to enhancing data-driven decision-making and analytical capabilities through advanced AI and machine learning solutions.Key DetailsLocation: On-Site (Pentagon City)Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determinationResponsibilitiesSupport AI, including machine learning, to analyze data for accuracy, relevance, and intelligence gapsDevelop and evaluate innovative investigative, statistical, and predictive data modelsInterpret data from multiple sources using techniques such as statistical analysis and data miningPrepare large datasets, implement data models, and develop databases for business solutionsLead technical projects involving state-of-the-art data science methodologiesDeploy and manage statistical, unsupervised, and supervised learning models with high accuracy and sensitivityPerform mathematical/statistical modeling to organize, optimize, and predict dataValidate machine learning models through statistical techniquesDesign algorithms including neural networks, decision trees, and surrogate modelsUse Data Lakes, serverless computing (e.g., Athena, Lambda), and ETL processes to handle storage and processing limitationsRequired Qualifications4+ years of experience in custom AI training (supervised and unsupervised) and NLP focusing on unstructured data5+ years of expertise with at least one analytical/statistical language (Closure, Scala, Python, R)2+ years of experience manipulating unstructured data from various platforms2+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Elastic X-Pack, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; educational background in Data Science is desirablePreferred QualificationsExperience designing and validating neural networks, decision trees, or surrogate modelsKnowledge of cloud storage solutions and serverless computing environments for large data handlingExperience working with government data and compliance standardsCompensation Salary Range: $100,000 - $165,000Company Overview Blu Omega is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) delivering technology and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies and enterprise clients nationwide.
