Principal Business Systems Analyst

job summary:
10+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting Finance, ERP, and enterprise reporting initiatives.

Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and reporting requirements from stakeholders.

Possess strong functional knowledge of Oracle ERP Financials including GL, AP, and Fixed Assets.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of Essbase cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, and financial reporting concepts.

Understand Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) capabilities for dashboards, reporting, KPIs, and analytics.

Develop high-quality technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, process flows, data mapping documents, and project artifacts.

Serve as the liaison between Finance, Business, and Technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business and reporting objectives.

Support data validation, reconciliation, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Coordinate across ERP, Essbase, and OAC teams to support end-to-end solution delivery.

Communicate complex business and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Hands-on development experience is not required; however, strong functional understanding of Oracle ERP, Essbase, and OAC is essential.
