Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for shift work at a Michigan hospital. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory testing, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality control in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and controls according to protocols
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Report accurate and timely test results while maintaining safe work environment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation: $5,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
