FTS has an opportunity for a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) in Chantilly, VA. The Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) will work in a collaborative teaming environment while developing MBSE models for space and space-related systems.ResponsibilitiesLead the development and maintenance of MBSE models in the satellite and ground system domains - including definition of architectures, interfaces, data flows, verification methods, and requirementsIntegrate MBSE models with other SE lifecycle tools and data sets to implement digital thread capabilitiesRun validation suites, verify compliance with style guides, and configuration manage models within a federated frameworkLead collaborative model working groups with teams of engineersTrain new MBSE practitioners on MBSE tools, processes, and methodsPresent familiarization demonstrations, including "live demos", for senior stakeholders and customersRequired Skills/QualificationsTS/SCI with polygraphBS/BA degree in a relevant field3+ years of relevant experience developing and maintaining MBSE modelsExcellent communication skills that will allow the presentation of findings to internal and external customersDesired Skills/QualificationsB.S.
