If that resonates with you, we would like to speak to you.***Riverside is currently seeking a dedicated full time **Advanced Practice Provider (APP)** to join our Rheumatology team in Newport News, VirginiaThis role offers the opportunity to work closely with a supervising rheumatologist and a multidisciplinary care team to diagnose, treat, and manage musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis.**Key Responsibilities*** **Patient Care:** Conduct physical exams, review medical histories, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for rheumatologic conditions.* **Diagnostic Interpretation:** Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays and bone density scans.* **Medical Management:** Prescribe medications, monitor effectiveness, and adjust treatment as needed.* **Procedures:** Perform joint injections and aspirations, occasionally using ultrasound guidance.* **Patient Education:** Provide education to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.* **Collaboration:** Partner with rheumatologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure continuity and quality of care.* **Documentation:** Maintain accurate and timely records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.* **Administrative Support:** Assist with prior authorizations, infusion clinic management, and other administrative tasks as needed.**Qualifications*** Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.* Licensure and certification as required by state and national standards.* **Prior clinical experience**, especially in primary care or chronic disease management, is highly beneficial.* Proficiency in diagnostic interpretation and patient assessment.* Strong communication and patient education skills.* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.* Manual dexterity and coordination for performing procedures.**Highlights*** Competitive base pay with incentive bonuses* Value Based Performance Incentive* Sign on Bonus Eligible* Loan Repayment Eligible (Riverside Health is a 501(c)3 non-profit)* Comprehensive Health Benefits and Retirement Package* Physician Time Off* Malpractice Coverage* CME Allowance* **Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
