Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests on patient specimens to support diagnosis and treatment
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot core laboratory instrumentation; execute daily quality control and instrument maintenance
• Prepare specimens, ensure proper labeling and handling, and document results accurately in the laboratory information system
• Review results for accuracy, flag abnormalities, and communicate critical findings following established protocols
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards; participate in continuous quality improvement activities
• Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within a clinical laboratory
• Certification required: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS
• The facility will ONLY consider Med Technologist & Med Lab Scientist; Med Lab Technician will NOT be considered
• Ability to work a night shift with weekend coverage (including every 4th weekend) as required
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
